Our Fine Celtic Sea Salt does not contain any anti-caking agents or additives.
Both our Fine and Coarse Celtic Sea Salt are hand-harvested from the coastal salt marshes of Guérande in Western France using traditional methods. They are naturally sun-dried and wind-dried, without high-heat industrial processing.
The key difference is that the Fine Salt undergoes an additional drying and grinding step to create its smaller, free-flowing texture. Because the Coarse Salt does not go through this additional drying stage, it naturally retains more moisture and may feel slightly damp or wet — this is completely normal for unrefined Celtic Sea Salt.
Its natural grey colour and moist texture are characteristic of traditionally harvested Celtic Sea Salt, which is naturally formed in the mineral-rich clay salt marshes of Guérande.
As an unwashed, unrefined sea salt, both varieties retain their natural mineral content without the use of anti-caking agents or high-heat processing. Slight variations in texture and moisture can occur naturally between batches due to seasonal and environmental conditions.
For best storage, keep the salt in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
