How does bi-carb soda/baking soda differ from baking powder?

Baking powder is commonly used in recipes to help increase the volume of baked goods, like muffins or bread. While bi-carb/baking soda contains 100% sodium bi-carbonate, our organic baking powder is made from three simple ingredients – Cream of Tartar (64%), Sodium Bicarbonate (32%) and rice flour (4%). Beware of cheaper alternatives that use aluminum-based ingredients.
